Good morning. We are Ding Yuxin and Ji Ying from Class 6, Grade 9.

尊敬的各位老师，亲爱的同学们:

大家好，我们是来自初三六班的丁昱心，吉颖。今天我演讲的主题是“弘扬民族精神，培养爱国情怀。”

In the over 5000 years’ history of the development of Chinese nation, the people have not only created brilliant culture, but also formed a great national spirit with patriotism as the core. Patriotism has been in the blood of the Chinese nation since ancient times, which cannot be removed, broken or destroyed. It is the greatest spiritual power of the Chinese people. Therefore, at this moment when the sun has just risen, we as teenagers, should work tirelessly for the rise of China.

在五千多年的发展历史中，中国人民不仅创造了灿烂辉煌的中华文化，还形成了以爱国主义为核心的伟大民族精神。爱国主义自古以来就流淌在中华民族的血脉之中，去不掉，打不破，灭不了，是中国人民最大的精神动力。因此当今红日初升之际，作为青少年，我们应该为中华民族的崛起不懈奋斗。

Sun Zhongshan in his youth was worried about the country, took the responsibility of national rejuvenation, and ended the feudalism that had lasted for thousands of years; Li Dazhao in his youth found that the country was in danger, and he was eager to study the political theory deeply to find a good strategy to save the nation. Mao Zedong in his youth sacrificed his life to resolve the national crisis and started a  revolution. Generations of the great young people have been working tirelessly. Because of patriotism, they can make up their minds and determine to work together to create the beautiful China today.

青年孙中山，心忧国家，将国家复兴之大任担于自肩，将历经千年的腐朽封建统治画上句号；青年李大钊感于国势之危迫，急思深研政理，求得挽救民族，振奋国群之良策；青年毛泽东书生意气捐躯赴国难，慨然赴身于革命。一代代青年伟人用自己的生命不懈奋斗，因为爱国，他们才能释放出心中奋斗的决心，携手共创出如今的大好河山。

Chairman Mao once said to our young generation: "The world is yours and ours, but ultimately it is yours." Time is constantly moving forward and never coming back. As a young generation, we should learn from our ancestors to word hard , and then  combine the status quo to make our goals clearly.

毛主席曾对我们青年一代给予殷切希望:“世界是你们的，也是我们的，但归根结底是你们的。”时代在不断的向前发展，作为新生力量的我们，应学习先辈们的奋斗精神，再结合当今的时代明确奋斗的目标。

Working hard needs us to develop our characteristics and cultivate our personalities. How a person grows up is just like the process of a tree growing up. Developing our characteristics is like a tree absorbing the nutrition. Also, teamwork is necessary in one’s growing up. Everyone is just a tiny part of the whole world. Therefore, if we learn to cooperate with each other, we can be stronger and stronger.

奋斗需要我们发扬个性，培养品行。如果说人的成长是一棵树苗生长的过程，那发扬个性，培养品行就是在吸取营养，夯实根基。奋斗需要我们团结协作，学会奉献。一个人的力量是渺小的，但如果万千青年的热血汇成一条河，那这种力量胜过黄河的波涛汹涌，超过洞庭湖的江阔水深。

China is a vast country with a long history. It has witnessed the flourish and the recession of the human history. So ,we young people today, are willing to devote ourselves to the prosperity of the country. That’s all of my speech. Thank you for your listening.
